Agricultural Crisis: Hypermarket Entrances Blocked in Rennes 1

The angry farmers dumped tires and rubble in the night from Friday to Saturday at the Giant hypermarket Leclerc in Rennes Saint-Grégoire.

“Ladies and gentlemen, please park in the car park opposite.” This was the message at 9.30 am, on Saturday morning, in front of the shopping centre, on the border between Rennes and Saint-Gregoire.

The roads that lead to Leclerc and the shopping centre are blocked with soil, manure and other debris. Security officers direct motorists to accessible parking, a little further across the road.

No farmers were present on the site.

It must be said that Saturday is the most important day of the week for retailers, which is why they are being targeted.  The action was apparently taken in the night from Friday to Saturday.
