Charente: Two People Killed in the Collision of their Car with a TER

Two people were killed and a third was seriously injured on Friday night in a collision between a car and a TER at a level crossing in Gensac-la-Pallue near Cognac (Charente), announced a press release from the gendarmes.
The accident occurred around 20:00 when the driver of the vehicle has bypassed the closed automatic barriers of the crossing and collided with a regional express train (TER) travelling between Angoulême and Cognac. No injuries were reported among the 43 passengers on the train, said the gendarmerie.
