In a very collected atmosphere, the procession, silent, began to walk around 13:30 in the streets of Lorient under a sun interrupted by a little rain. Escorted by the police, the white march passed by the bus route used by the driver and his passenger at the time of the accident.

“It’s moving and it hurts”
The procession included all social categories, origins and cultures, with many children at the head of the march.
“As a mother, it touched me. I have children and it can happen to everyone. I passed yesterday (Wednesday) at the scene of the accident. Coming here, to this white march, I wanted to support the family, “said Sandra Aladin, 34, from Lorient with her three daughters and sister.
The socialist mayor of Lorient Norbert Métairie was also present. “Courage to families, all in our hearts,” could be read on a sign next to the photos of the two young victims. “Stop the road violence” was displayed on another sign.
White roses were distributed to the participants before the departure of the procession. Arrived at the scene of the accident, near a fast food restaurant and a garage, participants raised the flowers to the sky before placing them at the scene of the tragedy. The crowd began to disperse around 14:30, many leaving crying.

“He has to go to the police”
Zehra and Yuna, two college girls, came to show the parents of the boy killed that they are “with them”. “I’m proud to see everyone coming,” says Zehra whose parents are friends with the victim’s family.
“We also want to show the man that he must take what he has done, he must go to the police,” insists Yuna.
Virginie Rouxel, 35, whose daughter is attending school in the same school as the boy, saw the vehicle – a white van – zigzagging a few moments after the accident, and the driver ran away.
“She and I saw the boy covered with blood, it was very shocking,” said the mother who will ask for help from the psychological cell.
“Arriving at home, my daughter made a drawing to represent the accident.”
The passenger of the 21-year-old car stopped being on the run, overnight Wednesday to Thursday on her way to an inhabitant of Caudan, near Lorient, where she was arrested by the police and placed in police custody. The 20-year-old driver is still wanted.
