Will the Switch 2 manage to revive Nintendo? The giant Japanese video game company Nintendo announced on Thursday a plunge of 43.2% of its net profit on its staggered 2024-2025 completed at the end of March, seeing its sales leaded by the absenteeism of players before the imminent release of the Switch 2.
During the year, Nintendo recorded a net profit of 278.8 billion yen (1.71 billion’euros), for a turnover that fell by 30% to 1.165 billion yen (7.16 billion’euros). Sales of the Switch have plunged 22%, while its successor, the Switch 2, will be marketed from June.
The Japanese video game giant Nintendo plans to sell 15 million’ copies of its new switch 2 Hybrid Console on his staggered fiscal year 2025-2026, he announced Thursday. Much less than’expected by experts surveyed by Bloomberg (16.8 million’units).
