A new snow episode is expected in France this Thursday 31st January, 2019 from 4pm. Meteo France has placed 14 departments on orange alert for snow, ice, avalanches or floods.

At first, Seine-Maritime, Eure, Somme, Pas-de-Calais, North, Yvelines, Val d’Oise and Oise . These eight departments of the north of France were placed in orange alert for snow and ice by Meteo France , Thursday 31st January, 2019.
At 4pm, the new Meteo France bulletin reports increased vigilance for the departments of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Hautes-Alpes, Alpes-Maritimes, Corse-du-Sud, Isere and Savoie.
“On the Alps, there is a risk of avalanches becoming strong to very strong this night and tomorrow and heavy rains are expected tomorrow in the Mediterranean starting with Corsica, says the Météo France site at 4pm. “
Up to eight cm of snow
From 4 pm, a new snow disturbance is expected to arrive from the south. Snowfall and / or ice, in significant proportions for the region, are expected.
