Fontainebleu forest will be open for cyclists on Sunday

Sunday 14th October, it is the Ronde bike in the forest of Fontainebleu: cyclists will enjoy a portion of road that will be reserved and many activities.

An appointment much appreciated by families: this Sunday, October 14, for the 6th consecutive year, takes place the Ronde by bike. From 10 am to 5 pm, part of the famous Route Ronde which surrounds the forest of Fontainebleau will be exceptionally closed to motorized vehicles. A way for all the family to discover the Forest of Fontainebleau and enjoy the fall colours.

Cyclists will have the opportunity to take two loops: one of 20 km and another of 10 km. Entertainment for young and old are offered along the courses. The participants will be able to: try atypical bikes, prepare a smoothie while pedalling, test their knowledge in road safety or even discover the painters of Barbizon through a game of goose.

More than 3500 participants

The event is organised by the association Fontainebleau Biosphere Reserve and Gâtinais in partnership with the Department of Seine-et-Marne. Last year, La Ronde à vélo brought together more than 3,500 participants!



From 10 am to 5 pm, open to all, free, without registration. Departure and arrival of the various courses at the forest management center of La Faisanderie in Fontainebleau (single access from the D409).
