To protest the rise in fuel prices, a call for the blocking of the Nantes airport (Loire-Atlantique), November 17th, 2018, was launched on Facebook.
In front of the rising fuel prices , motorists in Loire-Atlantique are preparing to fight back. And it’s on social networks that they chose to show it. After the call for a national blocking launched on October 10, 2018 on Facebook by a driver-road from Seine-et-Marne, other pages have quickly emerged in different regions of France.
Airport access is being blocked
AT Nantes , the idea was also taken up. An event, created a week ago, called in particular the blocking of the device on November 17, 2018. A snail operation was planned from the Beaujoire, before returning to the ring road. The page, called “Blockage Rise of Fuel #NANTES” and which had collected more than 10,000 favorable opinions, was however removed from the canvas this Tuesday, October 30, 2018.
A different page , still active this time and that counts a hundred members, calls for its users to get to the Nantes airport the same day, from 13 am, in order to block access different. On the wire, the organizers – remained anonymous – specify:
“We will not stay in one place! All together, block everything and we will not stay one day, but weeks if necessary. “
Meetings also in Vendée
In Vendée , too, motorists, truck drivers or taxis, plan to mobilize to make their voices heard. Several movements are planned in some cities, such as La Roche-sur-Yon , Les Sables-d’Olonne , Fontenay-le-Comte and Challans.
Finally, for those who wish to show their support for the movement, a code is in place and already visible in some vehicles: it is the yellow vest, positioned on the dashboard.
