ROAD ACCIDENT: Two children are among the injured.
On Friday night at 10.30pm, on the road from Saintes to Angoulême, a Nissan that was traveling towards Cognac collided with a Renault which was traveling in the opposite direction. Emergency services were quick to the scene.
The driver of the Nissan and the four occupants of the Renault, two women of 34 and 31 years old and two children aged 12 and 6 years old, were all injured (especially with back and chest pain), and taken to hospital at Angoulême.
The driver of the first vehicle was, according to initial reports by the police, struck the side of the road before hitting the other car. Alcohol tests should be performed.
