A minibus collided with a truck in the Allier in the night from Thursday to Friday, killing its 12 passengers en route to Portugal for the Easter weekend, announced the Prefecture.

The accident occurred between Moulins and Montbeugny around midnight on National Highway 79. “The twelve passengers of the minibus, a priori all of Portuguese nationality, died,” reports the newspaper La Montagne .

According to the regional newspaper, the passengers of the minibus, including a child and his parents were killed instantly when their vehicle collided head a truck coming in the face. The drivers of both vehicles survived.

RN79 off until Friday morning
