INDUSTRY: The Japanese manufacturer sees Yaris sales grow in Europe and must adapt its production to demand …
Jobs, yes, but precarious (for now). Toyota motor manufacturing France (TMMF), based in Onnaing, near Valenciennes, in the North, is launching a recruitment campaign, said Friday, in a statement. One hundred and fifty positions in interim or in fixed-term contracts are to be filled.
“Daily production will increase to 1,100 Yaris in Q2 2018 to meet market demand,” says TMMF in its statement. To date, there are already 1,020 small city-dwellers who leave daily production chains.
Perspectives of CDI
The manufacturer specifies that the 150 people soon recruited will be “agents of production” but that the company does not require any particular diploma or professional experience. New recruits will undergo an internal training of 3 to 4 weeks.
The proposed contracts may “go up to 18 months” and the manufacturer recalls that “temporary and fixed-term missions are prerequisites before any change to permanent contracts”. In this regard, the Valenciennes site has already hired 70 of the 300 new contracts announced in the recruitment plan last summer.
The recruitment of the 150 positions we are interested in here has only just begun and should be finalized in mid-March. Those wishing to apply can approach Pôle emploi, Alliance emploi and temporary employment agencies Crit, Adia and Randstad.
