Beef: Fifty Protesters at the Leclerc in Clisson

Local News
Protesters blocked one of two entrances to the shopping centre in Clisson, this early Wednesday afternoon.

In the words of National Order of the National Federation of Farmers’ Unions (FNSEA), farmers have planned to demonstrate outside the Leclerc at Clisson this afternoon.

From 2pm, Wednesday afternoon, fifty farmers decided to  block access to the large Leclerc shopping cebntre located in the commercial area, at Clisson near Nantes. “We will let guests leave, but we will block the entrance to the store”, says Mickaël Trichet, President of the FNSEA44.

Two banners have been installed to each of two entrances of the large area. A tractor was also positioned in front of one of them. Fifty cattle producers are waiting calmly carrying for some flags of the FNSEA.

On the customer side, some people encourage the protesters in their action, while others say they are rather annoyed.

This action, symbolic, is promoted in all departments at the initiative of the FNSEA who believes that “Leclerc does not respect its commitments” . “The Leclerc Clisson was chosen on Wednesday, but the action could take place in another store of the brand in the department”, says the spokesperson of the breeders.
