The price of the Navigo Pass is Expected to Increase Further in 2026 and Exceed 90€

According to budgetary projections from Île-de-France Mobilités, transport prices are expected to increase by 2.3% compared to 2025. The monthly Navigo pass for all zones could thus cost two euros more, or 90.80 €. The official price will be voted on in December.

The elected administrators of Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) met on Friday October 17, 2025 to discuss the revenue necessary to finance the operation of the lines and investment in the Ile-de-France transport network for the year 2026. The final prices will be voted on in December but projections suggest a further increase in the Navigo pass, according to The Parisian.

“The more we advance, the more it increases”

The first estimates were based on the inflation rate used by the government for 2026. Transport prices should thus increase by 2.3% compared to 2025, and the monthly Navigo package (zones 1 to 5) would therefore increase from 88.80 € to 90.80 €. Last year, this same package had already been increased by 2.40€ (from 86.40€ to 88.80€).

“The more we advance, the more it increases, I don’t know if we’re thinking about low wages”, reacted a user at the microphone of France 3 Paris Île-de-France. The left-wing opposition group in the Île-de-France Regional Council also denounced these increases which, according to it, result in particular “lack of voluntarism in the quest for new recipes for Île-de-France Mobilités”.

More than 200 km of new metro lines

As the Ile-de-France daily points out, this hypothesis of increase is part of the “tariff shield” established in 2023

“With this shield, we protect users from any sudden price increase”, declared the organization chaired by Valérie Pécresse. “We will be able to double the metro network in Île-de-France with more than 200 km of new railway lines by 2031 and continue the complete renewal of all buses, coaches, metros, trains and RERs”, he added.
