From Monday 3rd August 2020, wearing a mask will become compulsory in 69 municipalities in Mayenne. This measure will no longer be limited to the city centre.
The prefecture of Mayenne published a decree this Saturday 1st August. It stipulates that the mask will now be compulsory in 69 municipalities of the department of Mayenne from Monday 3rd August 2020.
Six municipalities had already made it compulsory to wear a mask, within defined perimeters, the measure will expand. It will now be the norm across the city.
“All people 11 years of age and over must wear a mask in all public places (public roads, public outdoor spaces) within the perimeter delimited by the city entrance and exit signs ”, indicates the prefecture of the city. Mayenne in its decree
Why such a choice?
If we are to believe the prefecture, this decision follows the recommendations of the Regional Health Agency of Pays de la Loire.
“Considering that by its opinion dated July 31st, 2020, the Regional Health Agency recommends to impose the wearing of the mask to reduce the circulation of the virus and avoid the spread of the epidemic in the general population. “
