On Wednesday 1st November 2017, around 5.30pm, a very serious accident between two cars took place on the route to Paris road at Mesnil-Raoul, near Rouen (Seine-Maritime). Two vehicles collided, head on.
Two dead and two seriously injured
The balance sheet is very heavy. Four eighty year olds are involved in the accident. The driver of one of the cars died. The passenger of the second vehicle, too, succumbed to his injuries.
The other two eighty year olds also involved in the accident were seriously injured and were transported in emergency to the hospital in Rouen. The prognosis of one of them is still not known.
Traffic Interrupted and Diverted
Traffic on the road to Paris was interrupted, for the time of the rescue operation. Diversions were put in place by the Gendarmes. For now, the circumstances of the accident are still undetermined, and an investigation will take place.
