Three poplars were uprooted by the wind early this morning to the landscaped park.  Others have been elsewhere. A van was lying on the bridge of Saint Nazaire. Firefighters and City departments are in the breach.

A huge poplar fell around 8 am this morning at avenue Suzanne Lenglen. Fortunately, no pedestrians or car was going past at that time. Employees of green spaces for the City cut the tree. Two other poplars were lying in the landscaped park.

The street, rue du commandant Gaté, was closed to traffic on time to secure a scaffold which began to collapse.

Earlier in the morning, as the wind began to blow without much major damage, the bridge of Saint Nazaire was quickly closed to traffic.
