Audi presents the 4th generation of the Audi A6 Quattro. This is a large family sedan as comfortable on various road surfaces. Starting at 61 500 €.
The new Audi A6 Allroad Quattro has an all-terrain look that’s even sharper than the previous model with two optional packs to customize its style, an aluminium outer pack and a black pack with dark details and frames.
It is 4.95 m long, 1.90 m wide and 1.50 m high, 45 mm longer than the A6 Avant. Its 2.93 m wheelbase ensures plenty of room in the cabin and a 565-litre space in the rear boot, which increases to 1,680 litres when the rear seats are lowered.
Standard equipment includes the electric tailgate and automatic trunk opening. The basic ground clearance is 139 mm, which confirms the off-road qualities of the car. In the cabin, the atmosphere is very quiet thanks to the rigid bodywork using aluminium and sophisticated aeroacoustics.
An adaptive air suspension
Its suspension with controlled damping adjusts the height of the body according to the speed and mode selected. In auto and comfort mode, the A6 Allroad Quattro starts at a standard height. If the highest height is selected and the speed is 35 km/h maximum, the body is raised by 45 mm. The body automatically lowers when the car exceeds this speed.
The A6 Allroad Quattro also offers several comfort features, including downhill speed control, standard, and inclination angle wizard that allows it to go all terrain.
On light terrain, the driver can display on the MMI screen a special screen that shows the angle of inclination in the longitudinal and transverse directions. If the vehicle could tip over, an alert is displayed.
Three V6 Diesel engines from 231 to 349 hp
The 3.0 TDI is available in three versions, 231 hp, 286 hp and 349 hp combined with an 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox. Steering wheel torque control is the ideal complement to the standard Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system.
The three TDI blocks are standard equipped with lightweight hybrid technology that reduces fuel consumption. This technology is based on a new 48-volt main electrical system. The starter-alternator, which is at the heart of the system, recovers up to 8 kW under braking and transfers electricity to a separate lithium battery with a capacity of 10 Ah.
The new Audi A6 allroad quattro can run freewheel with the engine off over a wide speed range and from 22 km/h with the start/stop is activated.
A limited-edition “20 years Allroad”
On the occasion of the launch of the new A6 Allroad Quattro, Audi presents its model limited edition “20 years allroad”. This series receives specific design details, both inside and outside the car. Three paint colours are available: gharial green, glacier white and Soho brown. The black pack has been extended, with Audi rings and specific exterior mirror housings.
Exclusive 19-inch wheels complete the vehicle. Black sport seats with leather / Alcantara upholstery, aluminium sconces and illuminated bottom lights further enhance the interior.
The price of the TDI entry-level version is announced at just over € 61,500 but the bill climbs well beyond € 100,000 with the big engine, its penalty and options.
