Theresa May rules out a second Brexit referendum

The British Prime Minister has ruled out a second Brexit referendum at her initiative at a press conference on Thursday night at Downing Street. The British Prime Minister also said that the draft Brexit agreement with the European Union was “the best” possible for the United Kingdom.

“As far as I’m concerned, there will be no second referendum” . It’s clear. At a press conference this Thursday night at Downing Street, Theresa May completely ruled out the organisation of a second referendum on Brexit at her initiative. Earlier, the British Prime Minister, before the British MPs, had left the threat of a rollback on Brexit to hang over if parliament did not support the draft divorce agreement reached on Tuesday with the European Union.

Theresa May also said Thursday night that the draft Brexit agreement with the European Union was “the best” possible for the United Kingdom.

“I believe, with every fiber of my being, that the path I followed is the best for my country,” said Ms. May, saying she was acting in the national interest and would continue to do so.

“Will I carry it out? Yes, “ she added, after resigning four members of her government in the day and an initiative to hold a vote of no confidence by members of her Conservative Party , particularly dissatisfied with the way in which the question of the Irish border has been settled.
