Enrico Horn, famous snake trainer at the Moulin Rouge in Paris, was found dead in his pavilion located in Argenteuil (Val-d’Oise).

The causes of the death of Enrico Horn were unclear … they are now known.

Friday 14th September 2018, Enrico Horn, a famous snake trainer who worked at the Moulin Rouge cabaret in Paris, was found dead at his home, rue de Barentin in Argenteuil ( Val-d’Oise ).

Hand bitten

It was his mother who discovered it, inanimate in the salon of the pavilion. The trainer’s boas, who had been working for the cabaret for nearly six years, were known for a dancer’s number operated in a giant aquarium. The trainer was then responsible for bringing the snakes on stage.



During the discovery of the body, traces of bite in his hand were found. After the autopsy, it turns out that these bites resulted in the death of Enrico Horn, who also had health concerns.

Four boas were discovered at his home

The police also discovered four boas at Argenteuil’s home, which belonged to the trainer, as well as cats and rabbits locked in cages.

The reptile team of the Paris fire brigade, competent for this type of intervention, was contacted to evacuate reptiles that are several meters long and weigh nearly 30 kilograms.
