MIGRANTS: 70 migrants are now living in the former retirement home in Ruffec …
They arrived on Tuesday in the afternoon around 6.30pm, from Paris. Twenty-one migrants, including 13 Afghans, two Ivorians, a Libyan and Eritreans have settled in the old people’s home of the Boulevard des Grands Rocs in Ruffec. They come from Paris, the outdoor migrant camp of porte de La Chapelle which was evacuated by police on Monday.
It is therefore now 70 migrants now living in the former retirement home Ruffec. Forty-nine had already arrived in the Autumn, from the Calais jungle.
At Ruffec, in addition to French lessons, they will try to regularize their administrative situation, to mount an asylum case, the first mission of the centre d’accueil et d’orientation (CAO) in Ruffec.
