Salmon, Foie Gras, Tzatziki… Several Festive Dishes Affected by Product Recalls

Since Thursday, the government site Rappel Conso has been relaying several product recalls of food traditionally consumed during the end-of-year holidays such as salmon, foie gras and even tzatziki.
If you’ve already started filling your fridge in preparation for Christmas, be careful. Several dishes traditionally consumed during the end-of-year holidays are in fact the subject of a product recall. The government website Rappel Conso published a series of alert sheets this week.
Defective packaging of sliced foie gras
We thus learn that sliced foie gras sold throughout France under the Le Traiteur brand presents a risk of contamination due to packaging that is not completely waterproof. This festive dish was sold from the 3rd November to the 11th December in the Carrefour and U brands. If you have purchased it, you are invited not to consume it and to request a refund. All the information on this subject can be found at this dedicated Rappel Conso page.

Another flagship Christmas product targeted by a major recall, a Delpeyrat brand salmon sold in Leclerc brands. This is holiday packaging with the name: Cold Norwegian Sea Salmon. Offering 10 slices, this package presents a risk of listeria contamination. Above all, you should not consume it. Here again, to find out if in doubt, you can go to the Rappel Conso site.

Salmonella in the tzatziki
Finally, a pot of tzatziki is also hit by a notice from the government news site. From the Blini brand, this 200 g pot of the famous Greek preparation of cucumber yogurt has been sold throughout France and in many brands (Auchan, Carrefour, Casino, Cora, Intermarché, Système U…). Customers are invited not to consume this tzatziki which presents a risk of salmonella contamination. More information on the Rappel Conso site.
