If you drive an Audi hybrid, you may want to pay attention to this information: several models from the German brand are in the sights of the authorities in France. Three Audi models are recalled for fire risk.

In detail, it is about the Audi A8 (a hybrid or plug-in hybrid limousine, depending on the model) but also Q7 and Q8 (two plug-in hybrid SUVs), specifies the Rappel Conso website, which echoes this reminder.

Cars have the following reference to identify them:

e1*2001/116*0350* (4L), e1*2007/46*1751* (F8)

Problem with the battery

These three vehicle models, marketed between the 22nd August 2019 and the 31st July 2024, present a problem with the charging of the electric battery.

“The cellular modules of the high-voltage battery may overheat while charging, which may result in fire”, the recall reads. Understand: the charging battery may overheat and risks causing a fire.

If in doubt, you should contact your Audi dealer.
