Storm Benjamin: 18 Departments Now on Orange Alert on Thursday, Corrèze from this Evening

BAD WEATHER: The meteorological organization Météo-France placed eighteen departments on orange alert this Thursday for the passage of storm Benjamin over the country

Thursday, the departments of Nord, Pas-de-Calais, Somme, Manche, Vendée, Deux-Sèvres, Charente-Maritime, Charente, Corrèze, Puy- de-Dôme, Gironde, Landes, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Aude, Pyrénées-Orientales, Haute-Corse, Corse-du-Sud, as well as Andorra.

Very strong winds are forecast over the Massif Central, Corsica and in the Tramontane area, as well as “heavy rains over Corrèze”.

This “strong autumn storm”, which occurs “after a long period of calm weather”, will fuel a “strong wind” over almost the entire country, predicts Météo-France, which also expects large accumulations of rain in the Northern Alps.
