Near Châteaubriant: Hiking Trails soon under Construction in this Town

The municipality of Villepôt, near Châteaubriant wishes to rehabilitate its hiking trails so that they are classified in the Departmental Plan of walking and hiking routes.
Hiking trails departing from Villepôt (Loire-Atlantique) will hopefully soon appear in the Departmental plan of walking and hiking routes. This is the wish of Philippe Dugravot, mayor of Villepôt and vice-president at the Community of communes Châteaubriant-Derval. “It’s fortunate to have a network of hiking trails used by residents, but not only that”, highlights the elected official.

By mail, the municipality informed its project to completely rehabilitate a hiking trail located west of the Araize forest. “We want to be classified in the Departmental Plan of walking and hiking routes. We must therefore carry out work to redevelop the hiking trails”, explains Philippe Dugravot.
The idea of the commune is to: “make this path a walking and cycling route which will enrich the network of existing construction sites. ”The starting point is the sports and leisure park of the multipurpose room.

A cost of 31,093 euros
It is in this context that the municipality is requesting a competition fund. The estimated cost of this operation is estimated at 31,093 euros. The municipality self-finances 18,000 euros. The competition fund will grant 12,800 euros.
