Struck by lightning in the Middle of a Storm, a three-storey house catches fire in Lot-et-Garonne

The storms that hit the Lot-et-Garonne caused a major fire on Saturday 10th May in Colayrac-Saint-Cirq where a house was struck by lightning in the early evening.
The thunderstorms hit the department of Lot-et-Garonne which was placed on a yellow alert on Saturday 10th May 2025. And they even provoked a fire at the end of the day around 8pm in the town of Colayrac-Saint-Cirq near d’Agen.
A house struck by lightning
Indeed, an three-storey house of 400 m2 was struck by lightning requiring heavy intervention by firefighters.
A large device was quickly deployed on site. In total 34 firefighters were mobilized for hours, supported by two vans and a fire ladder.
Their intervention has made it possible to avoid the worst for this’house whose’fire could be limited to two rooms and a small part of the roof.
