Loire-Atlantique: Lightning Strikes, the House Catches Fire

A fire broke out in a house in the Mean district of Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique) on the evening of Saturday, May 10, 2025.
Several storms broke out on the evening of the Saturday 10th may 2025 over Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique). The lightning stumbled upon a house in the neighborhood of Mean. No wounded is reported.
The two residents relocated
The house on rue Emile Combes still bears the stigmata of the day before. At 9.30pm on the 10th May, the lightning struck the roof that caught fire, igniting the attic.
The firefighters came to extinguish the fire by means of three hoses, one of which was raised on ladder from the engine. Five fire engines and 23 firefighters intervened.
The two inhabitants of the house shocked and uninjured, they they were relocated to their families.
