Essonne: A New Fire Ravages an Electrical Transformer in Villejust
A fire broke out in an electrical transformerat Villejust (Essonne), without any casualties.
Decidedly, the firefighters of Essonne have had bread from the board this weekend. After the spectacular fire of a garage in Longjumeau, the fire ravaged an electric transformer in Villejust .
This Sunday 2nd June, at the stroke of 1pm, the fire broke out on the site of Electric Transport Network (RTE). The disaster concerned a storage of mineral oil “without presence of PCB (polychlorinated biphenyls)”, advance the prefecture of Essonne.
About fifty firefighters were engaged in the operation to cool the walls of a container to avoid over-ignition.
The disaster was completely under control in the evening, on the stroke of 10.50pm
