Dramatic traffic accident Sunday 2nd June at Nieul-le-Dolent , at a place called Giraudière , on the D4 between Nieul-le-Dolent and Les Clouzeaux.
The traffic accident involves a car . On board, the father and his three children. The family is domiciled in the municipality of Nieul-le-Dolent.
It was around 8:10 pm when firefighters from Nieul-le-Dolent, La Roche-sur-Yon, Les Sables-d’Olonne and Samu from La Roche-sur-Yon intervened on the scene.
The car, off the road, made several rolls before coming to a stop. One of the children aged 5 is dead . The other two children, aged 4 and 6 , were cared for, seriously injured. Because of their vital prognosis, the rescue teams stabilised their state of health before allowing emergency transport shortly before 11 pm.
A first helicopter transported a child to the hospital of Nantes , the second to that of Angers .
The 43-year-old father , slightly injured, was taken to La Roche-sur-Yon hospital.
The five occupants of two other vehicles, witnesses to the accident and very shocked, were taken care of by the firefighters. The intervention, which required the closure of the departmental, ended at 1 am.
Excessive speed? Technical problem ? Alcohol? An investigation was opened by the gendarmerie to determine the circumstances of the accident.
