It snowed a lot in the Pyrénées during this weekend marked by the return of the cold.

This Sunday, four departments of the massif were placed on orange alert by Meteo France because of the risk of snow and ice.

Up to 20 cm of snow is expected at low altitude and the falls should continue during the day, especially in Ariège and Haute-Garonne.


They will be added to the flakes already fallen since Saturday on the French side of the Pyrenees but also Andorran.



Snowfall causing great difficulties on the roads, especially on the Pas-de-la-Case.


Roads are suddenly closed to traffic, especially heavy vehicles to Andorra on the RN 20 from Ax-les-Thermes.


Downhill skiing enthusiasts will still have to wait a few weeks to hit the slopes, most resorts will not open until early December, with a few exceptions
