A further rise in the price of cigarettes and tobacco took place yesterday, Monday 20th August, 2018. An increase between 20 and 30 cents, which applies to certain brands.
Some smokers will not be happy, as from yesterday, Monday 20th August, 2018. Because the price of some packets of cigarettes and tobacco increases, according to a decree published in the Official Journal on July 31st, entered into force on Monday.
From 20 to 30 cents
Already in April 2018, the price of tobacco had adjusted, then in early July, a new increase had occurred .
Yesterday, the price of some packages is increased from 20 to 30 cents. This is the consequence of the tariff harmonisation sought by the government, which aims to pass the package to ten euros by 2020.
The marks concerned
Mainly concerned brands Winfield cigarettes and those of rolling tobacco Camel, Lucky Strike, Pall Mall, Winston …
For a pack of 20 cigarettes Winfield Bleu for example, it will cost 7.90 euros, against 7.70 euros before.
