Sion les Mines: Gite Struck by Lightning, Roof Caught Fire

The storm that occurred on the night of Sunday 1st to Monday 2nd July, 2018 caused the fire of a gite situated at  La Cahute de Syon, Sion les Mines (Loire-Atlantique) at 5am.  The fire took hold in the attic.

In Sion les Mines, around 5 am, on the night of Sunday 1st to Monday 2nd July, the owners of the gite, La Cahute de Syon were awakened by a big noise.

Lightning had struck the farmhouse that had just been renovated and a fire took hold in the attic.

The fire, put under control by 21 firefighters who intervened around 5:25 am, burned part of the cottage located at a place called Le Grand-Nesly.
