Saturday 9th June, 2018, Meteo France has placed 24 departments on orange alert for thunderstorms. These should intensify in the late morning.
The sky will continue to scold Saturday 9th June, 2018. From Brittany, Normandy , through the Pays de la Loire and Gironde, Meteo France has placed 24 departments on orange alert for thunderstorms. Yesterday already, eight departments were concerned. In its latest weather report, it is stated:
“From the end of the morning an intensification of thunderstorms is planned on the departments placed in orange vigilance. Until this afternoon and tonight, these thunderstorms are virulent with heavy rainfall.”

Very violent storms
Since the beginning of June, the storms are linked. Some, very violent, have serious consequences: a man died in the Eure . His car slid into a ditch filled with water.
In Brittany, roads were cut in half as in Chapelle-Janson, near Fougères (Ille-et-Vilaine).
