This Saturday, at 9am, Gouesnou road in Brest firefighters intervened to extinguish the fire that had caught in an electric sub-station. Between 60-80 homes were left without electricity!
An overload on the network is the cause of the fire that broke out in a distribution cabinet at the sub station, according to ERDF. “Three cables melted, it must be repaired” , says the company.
But to repair an incident this “rare”, is not so simple! The intervention of a digger is needed to “open the road” and go for the cables. And “it takes a little time” .
Since this morning, a cable was restored. There are still forty customers without electricity. Early this afternoon, the second is being repaired … The third should be identified, detected and repaired in stride. “We think the situation will return to normal at 6pm.”
