The rain did not discourage. Nearly 2,000 protesters marched through the streets of the city centre of Nantes on Thursday afternoon to demand “the abandonment of the labour bill ” and denounce the “recourse to Article 49.3” by the government. All were given an appointment for 2pm at Place Bouffay.
In the procession, there are again many young people, but also some unions like the CGT. The Inter CGT-FO-FSU-Solidaires-Unef however not called to protest on Thursday, preferring “punch actions” at various locations.

The event was punctuated by a few incidents. Fireworks lights have all been sent to the police early in the event. District 50-Hostages and prefecture, stones and bottles were also thrown at police who replied with tear gas. The window of a bank also been broken near the cathedral.
