According to a survey carried out in the l’Express magazine, which carried out a survey of 20,000 Parisiens, where they would prefer to live, Angers in the Maine-et-Loire came out top for the third year running.
In second and third place were Nantes, in the Loire-Atlantique and Rennes, in the Ille-et-Vilaine, making the area where I live, the Northwest of France, the most popular in France.
The reasons quoted for Angers coming in First place was because of its environmental awareness, clean air, general good health and well being of its residents, its good economic situation and the good sense of community and friendliness from the people who live and work there.
