Due to work, rail traffic in Rennes station will again be interrupted from Saturday to Sunday. Buses will replace TGV and TER.
For the second consecutive weekend, rail traffic will be totally discontinued in Rennes station from Saturday 1 pm to Sunday 1.30pm. No TGV or TER will leave or arrive at the station during these 24 hours. The reason: the completion of the installation of a new above-way gateway to create a “new urban link”. Work, for security reasons, impossible to achieve by maintaining rail traffic.
For people who still have to travel during those 24 hours of closure, the SNCF has set up alternative bus services to take passengers to the stations where they can catch trains. For example, to go to Paris, buses will be laid on between Rennes and Laval where the TGV takes over to Montparnasse.
