Shania Twain can sing again after two operations

MUSIC: The singer, Shania Twain will return for a residency in Las Vegas at the end of the year

After undergoing two throat operations, Shania Twain finds her voice and, with her, a smile. It must be said that the singer could have never sung again, having had her voice broken by complications due to the Lyme disease she has suffered since 2003.

“I had to have an intervention that was very intense and it was an open operation of the throat, very different from a vocal cord operation,” explained the artist in an interview with Extra. “I had to have two, so it was really, really, really hard and I survived – in the emotional sense – and I’m ready to come back. ”

A new voice

It is in 2017 that Shania Twain tries the first return, but it will have finally taken more time to tame her new voice. “When you’re a singer and it’s your voice, it’s just a terrible feeling. It was a big loss, so I had to accept the loss of my voice to find a new one, “she said.

Today, the interpreter of That Do not Impress Me Much finally sees the end of the tunnel. She has just announced a residency at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, which will begin at the end of the year and run until June 2020.
