Because of the strike at the SNCF, major disturbances are expected on the railway lines of Occitanie, Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th April, 2018. Traffic forecasts.
Both dates were ticked on the agenda, among the famous 36-day strike at the SNCF, where agents are still mobilised to defend the status of railway workers rights.
Traffic “very disturbed”
In Toulouse and more generally in Occitanie , the movement should be particularly followed Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th April 2018. Recalling that “the four unions of the SNCF have filed a national strike notice since the 2nd April, 2018 at 7pm”, the Regional Direction of SNCF Occitanie specifies that ” the traffic will be very disturbed on the regional rail network”.
One TER out of three, and very few TGVs and Intercités
In a statement, the SNCF regional management plan to ensure Toulouse in Occitania:
- TER : 1 of 3 (“most of the traffic will be by coach, ” she says)
- TGV : 1 out of 5
- Intercités (day): 1 out of 5
- Intercités (night): no trains
“The strike is slowly eroding”, judges Guillaume Pepy
At the national level also, train traffic will be again very disturbed Monday, April 23, with 35% of the TGV in circulation, 30% of Intercités, 40% of TER, RER and Transilien, said Sunday the boss of the SNCF.

He mentioned a 60% strike rate among drivers, compared with more than 77% at the beginning of the movement.
Many cancelled flights at Toulouse-Blagnac airport
