A survey by the Fundamental Rights Agency, shows that on average 11% of women over 15 living in the EU have been victims of sexual violence. But there are significant differences between countries: 18% of Danish women were victims, against 4% of Portuguese. And France, 15%, is above the European average.



These differences are partly due to the support and the free speech of women assaulted. Rape and sexual abuse are ignored or invisibilized in many countries. In France, about 15%, only 10% of rape victims are women ONDRP complaint, the National Observatory of delinquency and criminal responses.
