Italy’s Valentino Rossi, seven times world champion of MotoGP and still in the race for the title this season, was injured in training and could suffer from fractures in the leg, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday.

According to the daily sports newspaper, Rossi fell while training with an enduro bike. “He fell and is suspected tibia and fibula fracture,” wrote Gazzetta, adding that the Italian should be operated at night.
