Jean-Luc Mélenchon passes for the first time ahead of François Fillon in voting intentions for the first round of the presidential election, that is normally focused on Emmanuel Macron and Le Pen, according to Kantar Sofres One Point poll for Le Figaro, LCI and RTL published Sunday.
The candidate of France insoumise, which held a big rally this Sunday at the Old Port in Marseille, gains six points and is now credited with 18% of the vote, ahead of François Fillon, the candidate of the right and center whose score remains stable (17%) compared to mid-March.
The founder of the movement En March! and the Front National candidate both lose two points, to 24%. As for the Socialist candidate Benoît Hamon, he passes below the 10% mark, to 9%.
Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, Debout la France candidate, gained 0.5 points (3.5%). The candidate of the NPA, Philippe Poutou, whose performance in the debate was noticed gains 1.5 points (2.5%). François Asselineau is 1%, Nathalie Arthaud, Jean Lassalle and Jacques Cheminade 0.5%.
The beaten Le Pen, whatever the opponent
For the second round, Le Pen would be beaten by both Emmanuel Macron (39 against 61), François Fillon (45 against 55) and Jean-Luc Mélenchon (43 against 57).
In the case of a duel between Emmanuel Macron and François Fillon, the candidate of En March! would win against the former Prime Minister (66 against 34).
Still uncertain voters
76% of Marine Le Pen voters say they are confident of their choice and 75% those of François Fillon. At Emmanuel Macron, they are 55% to say some of their vote, 61% for Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Benoît Hamon 48%.
80% (+1) of respondents also say interest in the election (42% “very much” , 38% “fairly” )
The survey was conducted online from April 5 to 7 with a sample of 1,515 people on the lists electoral representative of the French population aged 18 and older, constituted under the quota method.
