Weather in Charente: Temperatures will Drop this Weekend, Discover the Forecasts for the Start of the School Holidays

After several days marked by remarkable softness for the season, the jackets will be out again. This weekend of the 17th and 18th October, temperatures should drop significantly, with cool mornings and a wind which will accentuate the feeling.

The change of atmosphere promises to be marked in Charente. While the thermometer should still show relatively mild values in the middle of the week, the weekend should mark the return of much more autumnal conditions. In Angoulême, maximum temperatures could drop from around 26 °C on Thursday to just 13 to 16 °C on Saturday and Sunday, according to Météo-France forecasts.

A cooler Saturday, despite some clearing

Saturday 17th October, temperatures should peak around 15 to 16 °C in Angoulême. The start of the day promises to be cool, with values close to 10 to 11 °C in the morning. The sky should gradually give more room for clearings, even if some cloudy periods will remain possible.

The northeast wind could also enhance the feeling of freshness. If the sun manages to break through throughout the afternoon, conditions will be very different from those observed a few days earlier.

On Sunday, the thermometer continued to drop

The freshness should be confirmed on Sunday 18th October. In Angoulême, the maximums could hardly exceed 13 °C, while the minimums could drop to around 7 to 8 °C.

The sky should alternate between clearings and cloudy periods, with generally drier weather according to current forecasts. However, the wind will remain an element to take into account, particularly when going outdoors.

In the most exposed areas and in rural areas, the feeling could be even cooler, especially early in the morning.

A real autumnal turning point?

This meteorological development above all marks a return to an atmosphere more in line with the season. After the expected mildness in the middle of the week, the arrival of cooler air should remind us that autumn is now well established.

As forecasts may still change between now and Saturday, exact temperatures and wind conditions will remain to be monitored. However, one thing seems to be emerging: in Charente, the weekend promises to be much cooler, and residents will have every interest in bringing appropriate clothing.
