2.39 Euros per Litre, a Record for Diesel: These Thousands of Stations Where it Costs Even More Near You

The price of a litre of diesel has reached a record, with an average of 2.39 euros in the region. Discover on our map the service stations that exceed this limit.

So it’s definitely worse than April 2026. While the conflict in the Middle East gets bogged down, the price of a litre of fuel doesn’t seem to want to stop climbing. A record has just been broken, with the liter of diesel which exceeds 2.39 euros on average, this Friday 18th September. Soit a cent more than its peak last spring.

This average was calculated from prices displayed for more than 9,000 service stations on the site fuel prices.gouv.fr from the Ministry of the economy. The price of SP95-E10, the fuel the best-selling in France has been moving above its 2022 peak (2.11 euros) for more than ten days, and has reached 2.17 euros per litre.

Which stations sell for the most near you?

But as the name suggests, an average means that many stations continue to sell fuel even more expensively. Thousands of pump attendants therefore sell diesel to 2.4 euros per litre.

Worse, 700 stations posted diesel fuel on Friday at more than 2.5 euros, and some 70 offer a price higher than 2.7 euros.

More than a hundred also say they are selling one litre of SP95-E10 at 2.4 euros or more, again according to government data.

However, not all stations update their prices daily and some even make mistakes when communicating the figures to the Ministry of the Economy. But the explosion in prices is clearly visible in the resort, as motorists who refuel regularly observe.

Among the stations that sell their fuel particularly expensively is a motorway station at Parcé-sur-Sarthe (2.81 euros per litre), another east of Montbéliard (Doubs) (2.82 euros per litre), or even one close to Chartres (Eure-et-Loir) on the A11 motorway (2.81 euros per litre).
