Near Châteaubriant, this Mayor Wants to Strengthen Gendarmerie Controls

In the midst of the work, the mayor of Villepôt launched an appeal to the gendarmerie to strengthen controls in the town. “Inconveniences” were noted.

With some major roadworks burying new network cables, underway in the town of Villepôt (Loire-Atlantique). It is in this context that the mayor Philippe Dugravot asked the gendarmerie to perform more than controls.

Why such a request? Because the mayor noted that “the professionals like the individuals in this sector are faced with inconveniences majors.

Everyone understands the constraints that such arrangements can cause. I demand that users of the diversions put in place adopt behavior in terms of speed in particular, responsible and respectful.

The mayor calls the gendarmerie

More signage has been placed complementary to the panels that have been put in place since Thursday 4th September 2025.

But the mayor of Villepôt wants to go far, by appealing to the gendarmerie, so that more roadside checks be carried out.

I have just asked the commander of the Chateaubriant gendarmerie company to carry out road control patrols without delay and to unreservedly report all behavior that would be contrary to road traffic rules.
