The new Alfa Stelvio on the run
Auto: Yesterday, the specialized media released the leaked « images » of the patent filing sketches of the new large SUV Alfa Romeo. A few hours later, the pros of the graphic palette had already turned these sketches into realistic images.
It’ is the kind of leaks that we are used to from the Chinese ministry of’Industry, but this time it comes from elsewhere. And it concerns more directly the European customers, since the vehicle on the run is none other than the future Alfa Romeo’s Stelvio, which on should discover before the end of this year. The launch of this model will be a new crucial moment for the brand, which does not stop walking on the wire. Yesterday, therefore, the canvas saw appear these digital sketches, in black and white. Well known designers are inspoired, and have added them the only color that suits: red.
Hybrid and VE
Based on these sketches and the few spy photos of the vehicle surprised in various tests, the designers (a regular collaborator of the Kolesa site, and our darling Theottle) assemble the pieces of the puzzle to give us a fairly accurate idea of what the Stelvio will be. Compared to the outgoing generation, it seems to adopt a sportier look, with a lower silhouette and a more plunging rear part. So we seem to be S’orienting towards something more “crossover coupe”. There are still question marks on the actual proportions and on the height of the body, for example. On the other hand, more mystery about the design details, such as the front panel and the two-storey headlights, or about the rear light signature to say the least original. As a reminder, the Stelvio will be based on the STLA Large platform, ready for versions 100% electric and 4 or 6 cylinder engines hybrids. To learn more, we will have to wait for the official presentation, within a few months.
