All beaches in Morbihan are prohibited

The Prefect of Morbihan announced this Thursday 19th March 2020 an additional order prohibiting access to beaches.

The Prefect of Morbihan, Patrice Faure, closed the beaches of Morbihan yesterday evening, Wednesday 18th March 2020. In question, “the persistence of certain irresponsible behaviour. 

Yesterday, walkers continued to frequent sites, despite the confinement.


No beach or nautical activity

This new decree, therefore, prohibits access to beaches, coastal paths and boat launching wedges in all the municipalities of Morbihan, until March 31st, 2020.

The same type of order was taken all along the Atlantic coast, from Pornic to Sables-d’Olonne to the Basque Country.


All nautical activities are prohibited. “Staying at home is saving lives: yours, that of your loved ones and that of rescue and health personnel,” recalls the Prefecture.
