According to a report from the Directorate-General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF), dated July 5, the company Parmentine SA would proceed with a recall of “Potato de Consommation – Nouvelle Récolte”, following an exceeding of the maximum residue limit of a molecule used in insecticides, “Fosthiazate”.



The recall notice concerns Columba potatoes marketed between June 17th and July 5th, 2019, and sold in particular at the Auchan and Lidl stores.

Consumers invited to vigilance

The DGCCRF recommends that people who have bought these products not to consume them and bring them back to the point of sale, where they will be reimbursed for their purchase, “even without presenting the receipt , ” she says.

It also invites anyone who has consumed this product and who has “symptoms of illness such as confusion / nervousness, headaches, respiratory problems, circulatory,” to contact his doctor.
