Like its competitors, this model will take the appearance of the legendary console in a reduced format and offer a catalog of pre-installed games.

Sonic, obviously
The Mega Drive Mini will be supplied with two three-button wired controllers and 40 games will be offered. For now, Sega has only revealed ten. A list in which obviously figures the emblematic character of the Japanese publisher: Sonic.
But the blue hedgehog will not be alone. The nostalgic will also see Ecco the Dolphin, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Space Harrier 2, Shining Force, Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, ToeJam & Earl, Comix Zone, Altered Beast and Gunstar Heroes.
A challenge for Sega
Sales of vintage consoles took off with the NES Classic and SNES Classic, both quickly out of stock. The Playstation however did not have the same success and Sony was forced to sell it off. Nintendo recently gave up a 64 Classic Mini console.
Was the success of the retro consoles just a straw? Answer in September with the Mega Drive. The price of the 16-bit Sega console, which will come with a power cable and an HDMI cable, will be 79.99 euros.
