After that of March 20th at a magnitude of 4.9, a new earthquake occurred this morning, shortly before 7 am in the Southwest.
The epicenter is again in the same area as during the earthquake. The epicenter is in a region on the borders of the departments of Gironde , Charente and Charente-Maritime.

Less powerful than that of March 20th
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Network , it has a magnitude of 3.6. The epicenter is located about ten kilometres from Barbezieux , 21 from Jonzac and 45 from Blaye.

On March 20th, the earthquake that had already affected this area with a magnitude of 4.9 was felt as far as the Dordogne and even in Cantal . This first earthquake had been described as the most important for decades.
At present, there are many testimonies flocking to the central seismological office in France, particularly from Charentes and Charente-Maritime.
