About fifty protesters have filtered a few trucks circulating in the industrial area of Cormier, southwest of Cholet, during the night of Thursday 21st to Friday 22nd February.
They stayed up all night. Yellow vests filtered, Thursday 21st February, from 9pm, entries and exits of heavy trucks, in the industrial area of Cormier, Cholet ( Maine-et-Loire ).
Present at two roundabouts, at the end of Boulevard Jean-Rouyer and at the intersection with Boulevard du Cormier, they focused on the Logidis logistics platform, which supplies Carrefour’s major retail stores. The French group could not be contacted. Some trucks, however, were slowed down.
Pallet set on fire
The police intervened on the spot. Yellow vests had already filtered traffic in the Cormier area, Thursday 29th, November, 2018, for a whole afternoon.
Most of the protesters came from Cholet or Chemillé-en-Anjou, a commune along the A87, but some came from neighboring departments, mainly Deux-Sèvres and Vendée. They left around 4 am. The firefighters were called twice, around 11 pm and the next morning, to extinguish two fires of pallets, boulevard du Cormier, and burns lit by the demonstrators.
