Kia unveils the ProCeed, which will be presented at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, and released in early 2019.
The new Kia ProCeed is distinguished by a design combining the livability and versatility of a station wagon and the dynamic profile of a sports coupe.
Borrowing his surname to cut 3-door Kia ProCceed 2nd generation, the new Kia proceed was designed, developed and developed in Europe. The result of the work of Kia’s European design, product development and R & D teams in Frankfurt, Germany, ProCeed will be produced in the brand’s factory in Žilina, Slovakia, alongside Kia Ceed and Kia Ceed SW, launched in the middle of this year.
With a length of 4.60 m, the Kia ProCeed is 5 mm longer than the Ceed SW. At a height of 1.42 m, its roofline is 43 mm lower than that of the Ceed SW while its ground clearance is 5 mm lower (135 mm).
Resting on the same platform as other Ceed models, it retains the same wheelbase of 2.65 m.
The return of the GT line with 204 hp
The ProCeed GT Line is available in three engines that meet the future Euro 6-d TEMP standard: a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine developing 120 hp, the all-new 140-hp 1.4-liter petrol turbo and the new turbo diesel engine. 1.6-liter, 136 hp, all standard on a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission (except 120 hp).
Marking the return of Kia’s high-performance “GT” model, the Kia ProCeed GT is powered by a 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine developing 204 hp power and also inherits, for the first time, dual-clutch transmission with 7 gears guarantee ultra-responsive gearshifts via steering wheel-mounted alloy paddles.
